The importance of good bed frames no comments
Bed frames come in all different shapes and sizes and it is absolutely essential that the correct one is chosen when making a purchase, as this choice can have implications on both daytime and nighttime hours. If the wrong bed frame is chosen, back difficulties can occur, as well as having implications on the amount and quality of sleep gained, affecting a person’s mood during the day and also affecting their ability to work effectively.
Sleep is vitally important to all of us. The average human sleeps for 8 hours a night, which equates to one third of a lifetime. With these figures it is clear to see why it is so important that the right choice in bed is made, as it is somewhere that everyone will be for a large proportion of their life. No human would spend 8 hours sitting on an uncomfortable and badly made sofa, so why should they put up with poor quality for the 8 hours that they sleep? Just because someone is sleeping, it doesn’t mean that the body stops working and that it is not possible to injure oneself during the night.
Back pain is the major injury received during sleep, and this is almost always due to a poor sleeping position, caused by a bed frame that doesn’t fulfill its role of holding the mattress steady for the night. This unsteadiness causes the bed to move slightly and therefore the mattress, which in turn causes the users to move in their sleep – often in to uncomfortable positions where the spine is not straight. Not keeping a straight spine whilst sleeping causes the spine to curve slightly and will eventually lead to serious problems. Those with back pain will attest that it hurts and severely restricts many everyday activities.
It is also important that bedframes are strong so that the user gets a good and uninterrupted night of sleep. Many beds that are poorly made will creak and make other noises under the pressure of a human’s weight sleeping and moving on them. This noise can cause the person to awake, and it can often take them a lot of time to get back sleep. As the most important time of sleep (the stage of rapid eye movement) occurs late in the sleep pattern, waking up can often cause this period to be reduced, or even eliminated altogether. The lack of sleep experienced because of this can lead to many problems in daily life, such as an inability to work correctly and efficiently, the onset of bad moods and a lower quality of sex life. A good bed frame will be solidly built and all the components fixed together seamlessly, so that the bed has the minimum amount of give and therefore makes the minimum amount of noise.
So in conclusion, it is absolutely vital that a good bed is purchased. The far reaching possibilities relating to health and general wellbeing are far too important to ignore, and should encourage everyone to start treating their sleep not just as part of their day, but as a vital time when their health should be looked after for the benefit of their body – both in the short and long term.
